Lawyer, born on 24th July 1966. Bachelor of Laws by the PontifÃcia Universidade Católica (Pontifical Catholic University) in Rio de Janeiro in 1989. Master in Civil Procedural Law by the Universidade Gama Filho (Gama Filho University) in Rio de Janeiro in 1994. His career began at Castro, Barros, Sobral, and Xavier Associate Lawyers office, nowadays named Castro, Barros, Sobral and G. Gomes Associate Lawyers and Xavier, Bernardes e Bragança Associate Lawyers.
Since 1994, he has been settled in Cuiabá, state of Mato Grosso, where he established the CORRÊA DA COSTA ADVOGADOS law office. |

- Elected twice by direct vote of all lawyers in Mato Grosso as Vice President of Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - Seção do Estado de Mato Grosso (Mato Grosso Section of the Bar Association of Brazil);
- Appointed Judge of the Tribunal Regional Eleitoral de Mato Grosso (Mato Grosso Regional Electoral Court) by the President of the Republic for the period of October, 2002 to October, 2004 and for another term from November, 2006 to November, 2008.
- President of the Comissão de Exame e Estágio da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - Seção Mato Grosso (Trainning and Assessment Committee of the Mato Grosso Section of the Bar Association of Brazil), from January, 1998 to December, 2001.
- President of ESA - Escola Superior de Advocacia (Superior School of Law) of the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - Seção Mato Grosso (Mato Grosso Section of the Bar Association of Brazil).
- President of the Comissão de Ensino JurÃdico da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - Seção Mato Grosso (Legal Teaching Committee of the Mato Grosso Section of the Bar Association of Brazil).
- Participated for numerous times of Board of Examiners for public examinations, representing the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - Seção Mato Grosso (Mato Grosso Section of the Bar Association of Brazil).
- Director of the Conselho Consultivo do CESA - Centro de Estudos das Sociedades de Advogados (Consulting Council of CESA - Lawyers Societies Study Centre), national entity with its main office in São Paulo, state of São Paulo, wich gathers the main law offices in Brazil.

The principal partner and lawyer of Corrêa da Costa Law Firm, João Celestino Corrêa da Costa Neto, began his professional career in Rio de Janeiro-RJ as an academic of Law School in Castro, Barros, Sobral and Xavier Law Firm (Today Xavier Bernardes Bragança Law Firm and Castro, Barros e Sobral Law Firm). It was also this same law firm that became a trainee lawyer, and later, Lawyer. Practiced law in Rio de Janeiro-RJ in the period 1989 to 1994, when founded in Cuiabá-MT Corrêa da Costa Law Firm.
Amongst some publications of his authorship, he was the author of articles such as "Pre-Trial and Pre-Hearing Procedures in Brazil" and "Trial and Court Procedures in Brazil", published by International Bar Association, and Edited by GRAHAM & TROTMAN (England, 1990, 1991).
